VIDEO: Technical fault affects BBC Newsround - 16th July 2026

A technical fault with the VT of a ‘press pack’ interview with the stars of the new ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ film caused Newsround’s daily bulletin to go off schedule. The presenter for that morning, Nina Blissett attempted to showcase other stories to fill in the remaining runtime of the broadcast, before directing viewers to the Newsround website, for the abandoned item.
